As per new rules, Abu Dhabi is now going to allow only vaccinated citizens, residents, and tourists into public places. You are required to have the Alhosn app in your phone, which is the COVID 19 app in the UAE. This app should show a green status for entry into public places. The person will be denied entry in case the app shows a grey status.
For children who are under 16, the status will automatically appear green without any test, they too will be allowed entry in public places. Any person who is unvaccinated, or those who have expired PCR test report, will automatically have a grey status, and will be barred from entering into public places in Abu Dhabi. The new rule applies to both residents, and tourists.
More importantly, it has also been reported that in order to maintain the vaccinated statues on the app, people must get a booster dose every six months. People who have taken their second dose more than six months ago will get a grace period of 30 days to get their booster shot before the status turns grey.
Abu Dhabi’s new rules will be applied for public places such as restaurants, cafes, schools, universities, shopping centres, retail outfits, gyms, health clubs, museums, sporting activities, theme parks, and more.Abu Dhabi Travel Guidelines
