Good news for people in Jharkhand, as the Deogarh airport is now ready to operate domestic airlines. The city of Deogarh is known for its religious and spiritual significance, and is a popular tourist destination. The airport will start to operate flights after all formalities, such as technical NOC, and trials get completed by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
This is the second airport in the state, after the one in Ranchi. Its terminal building is decorated by tribal art, handicrafts, and local sites. It has six check-in counters, and can handle a total of 200 passengers. The terminal has all types of modern facilities, including 24-hour medical assistance. It will be of much convenience to passengers from Dumka, Gonda, Banka, and the neighboring state of Bihar.
The Deogarh airport is also an environment friendly airport, as it has installed water harvesting systems, and solar energy.
The airport will serve as a great connector for doctors, and is expected to boost the economy of the place as well, besides boosting employment. Deogarh is also a popular tourist destination for Buddhism and Jainism.
