After staying shut from March 22 due the lockdown imposed to control Coronavirus pandemic, the hotel industry in Kullu-Manali will open for tourists from October 1. Apparently, several people working in Kullu-Manali’s hospitality sector have been rendered unemployed due to the lockdown. Read less
Anup Thakur, President, Hoteliers Association of Kullu-Manali, confirmed the reopening date to the press. He also said that a campaign will be launched to educate other stakeholders such as taxi operators, dhaba owners and adventure service providers who give traditional dresses to tourists. They will be sensitised on running their business safely in the midst of the ongoing pandemic.
News has it that the hoteliers association has asked the state government to make the required arrangements to make every tourist feel safe as the arrival of tourists is expected to rise soon after the announcement of this decision.
