This 68-year-old woman is cycling her way from Maharashtra to Vaishno Devi Temple!

The mountain-top temple of Mata Vaishno Devi in Jammu is beautifully decorated for the ongoing Navratri festivities. The shrine reopened from August 16 after staying shut for devotees due to the lockdown implemented for controlling the spread of Coronavirus.

These days, pilgrims from all over India are visiting the shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi located on Trikuta Mountain in Katra, Jammu, to get blessings of the mother goddess. However, the story of an elderly lady has caught the attention of netizens, primarily for her daunting courage and immense devotion.
Named Rekha Devbhankar, this 68-year-old woman from Maharashtra has been on a bicycle journey from her home state to the temple of Mata Vaishno Devi. She set out on the long and arduous trip on July 24, and travels every day for 40 km.

The distance between Maharashtra to Jammu is 2200 km, but that did not deter this determined devotee from undertaking the trip. A video of Rekha was put on Twitter on October 19, and it has garnered a lot of attention.
One of the Twitter users wrote, "This is so inspiring. Aaji, you are truly amazing. But Aaji, please take care of yourself. Your true spirit will surely make you win this difficult task. Your face reflects your determination and there is not a single per cent of tiredness. We all need to learn this perseverance Aaji."

Another user tweeted that people could offer her support in her journey by providing food, bedding and other basic provisions.
