Breaking rules: This 56-year-old woman travelled 2400 km on her bike from Delhi to Leh!

Age is just a number and 56-year-old Mini Augustine just proved this! A passionate biker, Mini completed the Delhi to Leh circuit in 18 days and covered a distance of 2400 km on her Bullet. The lady biker has proved that all you need is passion to achieve your dreams of travelling.

Born in Kerala, Mini is an ardent traveller who enjoys riding bikes. Breaking all the rules and stereotypes, this woman biker took her 500-cc Bullet bike from all the way to Leh from Delhi. Mini was raised around her brothers and used to ride bicycles with them. Later, she got into bikes and took her passion to another level.

Her family was extremely supportive of her passion and with the support of her husband and kids, she started riding heavier bikes. It was her husband who taught her how to ride Bullet 350, and after that she fell in love with the bikes for good.
For her, the Delhi to Leh ride was the turning point of her life. She was formally trained nearly for an year or so before hitting the road. She followed a strict routine and made sure that she travelled safe.


She definitely is a role model who proved that passion is a bigger thing than any societal pressure! Kudos!
