For a fuller meal, take one of the tables further inside, where they keep the emphasis firmly on the freshest ingredients.
Roscioli's children run nearby Antico Forno Roscioli (on via dei Chiavari), which is the oldest bakery in the city mentioned in the Vatican census of 1824. Head here for baked goods straight out of the oven and some of the best pizzas in Rome.
