Dark, cosy music lover's heavenTipple of choice: Vinilo is a particularly popular place to drink absinthe.
Word to the wise: Barcelona also has a completely unrelated restaurant called Vinilo, so try not to get the two confused.
With a 1912 gramophone next to the entrance declaring its obsession, Vinilo is perhaps Barcelona's ultimate bar for alternative music geeks. Moodily lit, with retro movie projections and music memorabilia decorating the walls, it's a small, friendly place popular with twenty and thirtysomething music heads.
Musically, the bar plays anything from French girl singers of the 1960s to 1990s shoegaze and trip hop. A popular meeting place for Barcelona indie musicians, Vinilo is also a helpful place to drop in to pick up information on current club nights and gigs, some of which occasionally take place in the bar itself.
