TV bahus Nia, Hina, Shiny steal the show at Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 8 launch

Khatron Ke Khiladi has been one of the most interesting and out-of-the-box franchises on Indian television and it had a grand launch in Mumbai on May 9. Director Rohit Shetty will be back as the host of action reality show "Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi" season eight. TV’s bahus Nia Sharma, Hina Khan, Shiny Doshi will be in a never seen avatar on the small screen. A look at some of the pics from the grand launch on May 9.

The season 8 of Khatron Ke Khiladi will see 12 contestants - wrestler Geeta Phogat, "Bigg Boss" fame Manveer Gurjar, actors Monica Dogra, Nia Sharma, Hina Khan, Shiny Doshi, Ravi Dubey, Karan Wahi, Rithvik Dhanjani, VJ Shibani Dandekar, model Lopamudra Raut and dancer Shantanu Maheshwari.

As each season of the reality show keeps on getting tougher, the upcoming season is going to be one of the most challenging one for the contestants.

Rohit Shetty will be putting his mind into stunt development as well. Rohit, who is known for making some of the biggest action/stunt sequences in Indian cinema, will work on getting the contestants do challenging stunts.

During the opening act of the event, Rohit slightly cut his hand and injured himself. He said that this is a trailer of what is going to happen to the contestants.

Jamai Raja girls Nia Sharma and Shiny Doshi share a light moment at the launch. While Nia was a part of Jamai Raja's first season, Shiny was opposite Ravi post leap.

On choosing Spain over other countries, Rohit answered "Our country is always at a red alert. When shooting at such scenic locations, there is always a threat of an attack happening due to which the shoots may get hampered. Also, permissions from the government is a really big issue as things don't always go smooth here. Our show also involves a lot of animals so in case I need a tiger, I can't get one in India whereas abroad we can get trained animals to help with our stunts."

Akshara aka Hina Khan's all new glam diva avatar grabbed a lot of attention. Hina wore a sexy green dress by Kukoon and jazzy earrings by Being Human. Jamai Raja's Ravi Dubey also looked dapper in a hot green suit by Tisa Studio.

The other bahus of small-screen Shiny Doshi, Nia Sharma also rocked the event in a never seen before avatar.

Rohit Shetty said he is looking forward to seeing wrestler Geeta Phogat perform the stunts on Khatron Ke Khiladi.

Manveer and Hina performed a small gig at the show's launch too.
