Actress Rooqma ray, who was last seen in Raima Sen starrer web series ‘Roktokorobi’, has yet another OTT project in her kitty. She will soon be seen in Aditi Roy’s upcoming series. The actress will essay a prominent role in soon-to-be-streamed series ‘Noshto Neer’, which is a star-studded affair. While Rooqma will play a meaty role in the series, it will star actress Sandipta Sen playing the female lead, opposite actor Shoumo Banerjee.
In her previous OTT project ‘Roktokorobi’, Rooqma was paired opposite actor Vikram Chatterjee. It was a psychological thriller, while her upcoming series is a social-drama that has an interesting twist in the tale. Besides Rooqma, Sandipta and Shoumo, the series will also feature actor Anindya Chatterjee playing a meaty role.
Meanwhile, Rooqma is giving Bengali small screen a miss these days and mostly seen making special appearances on non-fiction shows and reality TV shows. She was last seen on television in the suspense-thriller ‘Laalkuthi’ which featured her opposite actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee. The duo previously shared the screen in ‘Desher Maati’, and their reel chemistry was an instant hit making them one of the most popular jodis in Bengali TV industry. The makers of ‘Laalkuthi’ wanted to recreate the reel chemistry in the show. However, the show had a very brief run on Bengali TV and went off air owing to TRP issues.
