, who plays the character Kakon in ‘Konon Kakon’, is excited about the Mahalaya special episode.

She said, “Mahalaya to me, is all about Birendra Krishna Bhadra. I used to wake up listening to his voice on radio. We used to watch Mahishasuramardini on Doordarshan. I miss those days.”

The actress herself played Maa Durga a few years back. “This year, you will see Maa Durga through Kakon’s eyes. But this is not the first time I would be shooting for Mahalaya special episode. I played Maa Durga a few years back. That time, I used to play the lead in

. The moment I got the news, it made me happy. Playing Maa Durga is a dream come true moment for me. Since childhood, I waited for the day.”

The actress herself is a trained dancer. The shoot is scheduled next week and Sweta is all excited about it.

Sweta is a popular face of Bengali television. Right before ‘Kanak Kakon’, she was seen playing the female lead in the Hindi soap ‘Jay Kanhaiya Lal Ki’, which had Vishal Vashishtha playing the male lead. The show was the Hindi remake of Bengali romantic-comedy ‘Bhojo Gobindo’.
