Bengali actor
Gourab Roy Chowdhury had a very busy schedule on Valentine’s Day. While many of his industry colleagues squeezed out some time for V-Day,
Gourab
was busy with the shooting. “Valentine’s Day doesn’t seem to be so special now like it used to mean when I was a kid. It is like any other day. This year, I was busy with
Pilu
’s shooting and remembering my dialogues instead,” said the actor in his exclusive interaction with ETimes TV.
The team was shooting for a soon-to-be-aired sequence in an outdoor location. When asked whether he has someone special in life, the popular actor shied away and said, “I don’t have anyone special in my life. Mom and my car are my
Valentines.”
Gourab received many gifts including a surprise from a mysterious admirer who has been sending him gifts on every Valentine’s Day for the past few years.
“For the last few years, I have been receiving gifts from an anonymous sender who never revealed the name. This year, too, I received it,” he adds. When asked whether he has sent roses or gifts to someone special, Gourab says, “I used to buy roses on Valentine’s Day when I was in school. But it wasn’t an easy job. First of all, the roses were high priced and used to cost Rs. 15 when I was in school. It was too much for a school kid like me. Moreover, there was a chance of getting caught. I used to get petrified with the thought that someone will catch me while buying roses and might complain to my dad,” Gourab laughed while sharing.
This year, Aahir aka Gourab had a memorable experience with his real family on Valentine’s Day. “After a long time, I enjoyed Valentine's Day so much. It was
Rudrajit
and
Promita
’s wedding anniversary and we all celebrated it. It was a lovely experience,” said the actor.
