24-year-old actress Aindrila Sharma and Sabyasachi Chowdhury’s journey as a couple, who faced all the storms together, has inspired many. Fans are heaping praise on Sabyasachi who was one of the strongest pillars in Aindrila’s life besides her family. Aindrila's debut

Aindrila’s debut: Aindrila, who always wanted to be an actress, came to Kolkata from Berhampur, Murshidabad, with the dream of making a career in Tollywood. The young actress had fought a fierce battle against cancer when she was in class XI but she didn’t let the disease affect her dreams. She kept fuelling her dream and bagged a project in 2017.

​Sabyasachi’s career

While ‘Jhumur’ marks Sabyasachi’s debut in Bengali small screen industry, Sabyasachi had done a number of shows by then. Pratyusha Paul’s ‘Esho Maa Lokkhi’ was his first prominent work on TV. Soon, he went on to do ‘Agnijal’, ‘Bhakter Bhogoban Sri Krishna’ where he essayed Judhisthir’s character. The actor, who went abroad for higher studies and came to Kolkata to pursue his career in showbiz has mostly done mythological, fantasy or devotional shows in his career. ‘Jhumur’ was the first family-drama in Sabyasachi’s career. ​Claim to fame

Aindrila didn’t have to look back after ‘Jhumur’. She bagged one show after the other including Ravi Shaw starrer ‘Jibon Jyoti’ and later ‘Jiyon Kathi’. Sabyasachi, however, appeared in a number of shows prior to ‘Mahapeeth Tarapeeth’ which gave his career a new turn. After ‘Jhumur’, he played small roles in ‘Om Namah Shivaya’, ‘Jorowar Jhumko’ and ‘Saat Bhai Champa’. In 2019, he bagged Bengali TV’s one of the most popular mythological shows, which had an ensemble cast. He played Sadhak Bamakhyapa’s role and his portrayal of the iconic character made Sabyasachi a household name almost instantly. ‘Mahapeeth Tarapeeth’ ran for 3 years. (Photo: Facebook)

​Web series 'Bhagar'

After three years, Aindrila and Sabyasachi appeared on web series ‘Bhagar’, although they weren’t the reel pair. While this marks Sabyasachi’s debut on digital platform, Aindrila explored other mediums prior to this. She did a few other projects and did ‘Love Cafe’ starring Hritojeet Chatterjee, ‘Mittir Parar Maradona’ and also did a movie starring Adrit Roy. She also played a prominent role in ‘Bhole Baba Par Karega’. Sabyasachi, on the other hand, was mostly seen on the small screen.
