Director Arnab Riingo Banerjee is ready to take the audience on a new journey with his new web series ‘Varanasi Junction’. The thriller stars Amrita Chattopadhyay, Ridhish Chowdhury, Jeetsundar Chakraborty, Judhajit Sarkar, Korak Samanta and other artists. Riingo, who loves to experiment, shot the series on a mobile phone. The shooting has been done at the breathtakingly beautiful locations of Varanasi.
Sharing the experience of shooting Riingo says, “It has been one of the best experiences of my life. The shooting at the ghats of Varanasi was mostly done during the night and dawn. The mystic environment during that time made the experience more beautiful.”
The story follows a young and passionate reporter and the character is played by Amrita. She works for a new portal and is quite efficient as a reporter. Things take a different turn after the mysterious disappearance of a local YouTuber. Being a reporter, Supriya tries to discover the truth behind the incident but the mystery gets deeper the more she digs into it. Soon, she realises that all her activities are being noticed. ‘Varanasi Junction’ blends crime and politics in its story.
And Riingo believes that the series will keep the audience glued to the screen with its gripping story. He says, “Shooting the thriller featuring Amrita, Jeetsundar and other artists has been a great experience. It’s an edge-of-the-seat thriller which will keep the audience engaged till the end.”
