I’m missing my on-screen family members who have become an inseparable part of life, says Debchandrima Singha Roy
It isn’t easy for anyone to stay away from what they love. And that’s how
She said, “I am terribly missing my on-screen family members who have become an inseparable part of my life. We all are like a big fat happy family and keep the shooting floor high on energy no matter what. I am missing fighting with Sunny (Rezwan Rabbani Sheikh), pulling Dipanwita’s leg, fun time with Soumyadeep and the long adda with June Di. I am equally missing Dadu, Thammi, technician dadas, our director and other members of Sanjher Baati family. Shooting for long hours brings all the team members together but what we share as a family is really precious.” The actress turned emotional while speaking about her extended family.
Debchandrima shared how they eagerly wait for their on-screen grandparents who regularly treat them with chocolates and ‘hojmi guli’. She said, “We share a similar bond with dadu just like it is shown in the show. He loves us very much and spoils us with chocolates. Every day, we wait for him to handover us the daily quota of chocolate. It has become a daily routine. He brings many chocolates for us along with the special tamarind-flavoured lozenge over which we all fight. Dipanwita is in my team while Soumyadeep and Sunny are opponents in this competition to snatch the special lozenge,” she laughed out loud while sharing. Then she added, “Anuradha di, who plays Thammi in the show, also brings Hojmi guli for us and we again fight over it. I miss all these. Though I am connected with most them over the phone but I want them to meet as soon as possible.”
The shooting is on halt since March due to Corona outbreak followed by the nation-wide
She explained how the recent decision of a channel to end its current projects has led many living with anxiety. “The pandemic has left a scar worldwide and we all are living with insecurity. All I can hope that we can go back to the normal rhythm soon and none suffers.”
