Jagaddhatri completes 600 episodes; Cast and crew celebrate – see photos



​‘Jagaddhatri’ is one of the most popular shows currently up and running on Bengali television. The Bengali TV show, produced by Snehasish Chakraborty of Blues Productions, stars Ankita Mallick and Soumyadeep Mukherjee in lead roles. The story revolves around the female protagonist Jagaddhatri, a special crime branch officer, who balances her married life while investigating tricky cases and catching criminals. The show recently crossed the milestone of 600 episodes and the cast and crew came together to celebrate.

The story



​‘Jagaddhatri’ started its journey in 2022. Back then, Jagaddhatri’s identity as a special crime branch officer was secret to everyone else other than Swayambhu, Koushiki, Kakon, and Utsav. ‘Jagaddhatri’ became a phenomenon to the audience for portraying a strong female character balancing her personal and work life with finesse. Actress Ankita Mallick became a household name for her work on the show.

The couple



​Jagaddhatri and Swayambhu, the lead pair of the show, is one of the most popular pairs on Bengali television. Ankita Mallick and Soumyadeep Mukherjee bring a crackling chemistry to their characters and their off-screen bonding makes it more convincing to the viewers. The on-screen pair so far has won multiple awards for their portrayal of Jagaddhatri and Swayambhu.

The plot twists



​Any story that revolves around crime and investigation needs believable antagonists. ‘Jagaddhatri’ has no scarcity of it. The antagonists of the show and their antiques keep the pace of the show alive and make the chase more interesting. Not just that, the complicated back story of Mukherjee family is of no less intrigue to keep the audience hooked to their TV sets.

The reception



​‘Jagaddhatri’ is currently one of the most well-received shows on Bengali television. The Blues Production show has garnered a loyal audience base over the years and the TRP charts have reflected the same. ‘Jagaddhatri’ has earned the top spot on the TRP list numerous times. If not the top spot, the Ankita Mallick and Soumyadeep Mukherjee starrer show makes it in the circle of the top three shows every week.
