Mon Dite Chai Mahaporbo: Titir is apprehensive about her baby shower

‘Mon Dite Chai’ is a popular show on Bengali television that follows the story of a middle-class girl, Titir, who earns her livelihood by selling fritters. Titir, the female protagonist of the story, ends up marrying the big businessman, Somraj. As per the current track of the story, Titir is now pregnant with her and Somraj’s first child. Banerjee family arranges a baby shower for her and Rajanya, who also is going to be a mother soon.From singing, and dancing to indulging in delicious food, Titir and Rajanya’s double baby shower is filled with joy and laughter. Titir enjoys herself to the fullest but not without her apprehensions. Titir feels restless during the occasion, due to some unknown fear in her mind. On the other hand, Malini Banerjee is relentlessly plotting her revenge against Titir. She wants to harm her by hook or crook. Malini hatches a plan to poison the kheer Titir is supposed to have at her baby shower. Now as it is a double baby shower of Titir and Rajanya, the bowls get jumbled up. Who will end up eating the poisonous kheer – Titir, or Rajanya?

‘Mon Dite Chai’, starring Arunima Halder and Writwik Mukherjee as the protagonists, started its journey in early 2023. The show has so far managed to keep the audience entertained with its interesting storyline and ensemble cast. Writwik, who was previously seen in a popular Bengali daily named ‘Ei Poth Jodi Na Shesh Hoy’ with Anwesha Hazra as a female lead, has a loyal fanbase. He plays the part of Somraj, an entrepreneur and businessman in ‘Mon Dite Chai’. Arunima aka Titir has a charm to her girl-next-door character. Titir and Somraj are polar opposites as characters but their pair has found its appeal among the audience. Their chemistry, along with the twists and turns of the story – is the main USP of ‘Mon Dite Chai’.
