aka Konok has turned a year older yesterday (July 28). Shrabani, who recently made his entry into the tinsel town, was flooded with birthday wishes and gifts.

The celebration started since Saturday when her on-screen sister Sweta Bhattacharjee arranged a birthday party on the sets of the show. The entire crew of ‘

Konok Kakon

’ had a blast celebrating Shrabani’s birthday on Saturday itself since they had no shoot on Sunday. “That was a pleasant surprise when Sweta di and other crew members arranged a pre-birthday celebration since we didn’t have shoot yesterday,” said the actress.

But little did she know what is in store for her. For Shrabani, payesh made by her mommy dearest, gifts from her family members and friends are common rituals until now. But this time, she is in for a surprise and the actress made an honest confession explaining how things changed after she became a celebrity.

She also explained how she hasn't got accustomed to stardom yet. “Payesh and special food cooked by mom are a must. Mostly family members, school and college friends used to wish me on my birthday. But this time, it was different. My phone was ringing continuously and my school friends had to wait for long time to actually talk to me. Things have changed since I have started working in the industry and honestly I am not used to it. People wished me on social media handle and I had to cut 7 cakes all together,” she said.

Following the ritual, Shrabani’s mom cooked special dishes for her.

The actress made her television debut with ‘

’ and played the character of grown up Rakhi. Shranabi’s innocent smile and girl-next-door look appealed to the audience instantly.

The actress is presently busy with ‘Konok Kakon’, which has become quite popular.

While talking about her birthday gifts, she said, “I received many gifts. Mom and dad gave me two beautiful dresses. My friends gave me a surprise visit and I received many gifts. I am overwhelmed but my younger brother’s gift made me all emotional.”

Shrabani shared how her brother, who is in class XI, saved money and ordered a special gift from an online shopping portal. “Since my brother is still studying, he generally orders books for me. On the date of delivery, he asks mom or me to pay for the gift. I was prepared to pay for the gift he ordered this year too. Little did I know that my brother saved money to buy me a gift. He made me emotional,” she said and one can imagine the big smile on the face of this proud sister.
