The new show has an interesting story that revolves around Som, a family man, who is blessed with a son. While Som has an apparently happy life with his wife and child, there is a wound buried in his heart.
Som, was separated from his mom when he was very young. All his life, he tried to find out about his mom but tasted disappointment instead. Som dealt with an emotional trauma because of his unhappy childhood. His wife decides to start searching for Som’s mother and find answers to the questions which have been haunting her husband since childhood.
Ravi will essay Som’s role in the show while Jasmine will be seen as his reel wife in ‘Amar Sona Chander Kona’.
Ravi, who stepped into showbiz as a model, is a familiar face to the Bengali audience now. He made his debut with TV show ‘Radhaa’. ‘Jiban Jyoti’ was his second TV show starring
Aindrila Sharma
and Mishmee Das.
Ravi played the lead role in fantasy-drama ‘Beder Meye Jyotsna’. But he left the show midway after the makers introduced a huge time leap following which, Ravi had to play the role of a grown-up girl. The story too underwent a sea change leading a few other actors to quit the project, industry sources suggest. After that, Ravi was mostly busy with his films and recently shot for a music video too.
Jasmine, on the other hand, was last seen in ‘Pandab Goenda’ in a cameo role alongside her real-life boyfriend Gourab Mondal. She also played a meaty role in the popular TV show ‘Trinayani’, which has been remade in other regional languages including Tamil and
Telugu
