‘Sanjher Baati’ enjoys a good viewership and stars Rezwan Rabbani Sheikh and

Debchandrima Singha Roy

as the lead jodi. The story initially revolved around village belle

Charu

and Arya, who belongs to a rich family.

Arya lost his eyesight due to an accident but that doesn’t stop him from pursuing his passion for photography or sports. Arya never wanted an assisted life and kept following his dreams even after meeting the accident.

During one of his visits to Madhabpur, he meets village belle Charu, who can make delicious sweets. Charu lost her mom at a young age and faced a lot of hardship while growing up. Her stepmom and step-sister leave no stone unturned to make her life miserable. Following the call of destiny, Charu and Arya fall in love and got married. How the couple continues their journey despite all the odds, makes the major crux of the story. The storyline recently took a time leap, following which the show has featured some major twists.

The success of ‘Sanjher Baati’ has prompted the makers to remake it in other languages.

The popular daily soap has been remade in Kannada as ‘Akasha Deepa’ featuring actor Jay D'Souza as the male lead. It has also been remade in Hindi and Tamil. The Hindi remake, ‘Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha’ will star actors Vijayendra Kumeria and

Richa Rathore

as the lead pair. ‘Raaja Parvai’, the Tamil version of ‘Sanjher Baati’, stars popular actors N. Munaf Rahman and Rashmi Jayaraj in the lead roles.
