Rooqma Ray is upset with fans; Urges them to differentiate between pure gold and gold look-alike

Rooqma Ray has a complaint against her fans. The actress recently took to social media to address the same. In a video posted on social media, Rooqma was seen explaining how her fake profile has more followers than her own social media account. The actress is currently busy shooting for her next project. She sat with her co-stars Sandipta Sen and Anindya Chatterjee, and showed them how the fake profile on her name has more followers than her own account. Rooqma showed that her fake profile on social media currently has 1.3 million followers whereas her own page has just 4.5K followers. She browsed her own profile on Facebook and found out that she has only 47K followers. Rooqma complained that everybody goes on to follow the fake profile instead of following her real profile and Facebook page. The actress also added in the end, “Don’t chase gold look-alikes, seek the pure gold!”

In this digital era, coming across fake profiles of a celebrity on social media is not an unusual feat. However, most of these profiles are made and run by the fans of those celebrities. Rooqma holds no grudge against that. However, the actress reveals that several brands ask for the number of followers while collaborating. As she has less followers on Facebook, it becomes an issue sometimes. Rooqma urges her fans to follow her own profile and requests her admirers to close the fake profile for her sake.

Rooqma, who is known for playing the lead characters of Rajkumari Kiranmala in ‘Kiranmala’ and Mampi in ‘Desher Maati’, is currently busy shooting for her next, ‘Noshtoneer 2’. The web series that released its first season on a popular streaming platform in 2023, is currently developing the next season. The actress will be sharing the screen with Sandipta Sen, Anindya Chatterjee, Rahul Dev Bose and others. Rooqma was last seen playing the lead role of Purna in ‘Roopsagore Moner Manush’.
