Rupsa Chatterjee joins the cast of ‘Jagaddhatri’; enters the TV show as an antagonist

Rupsa Chatterjee is the new addition to the cast of ‘Jagaddhatri’. The popular Bengali serial has a new antagonist and the ‘Tunte’ actress is all set to essay that grey-shaded character. Rupsa recently shared the new promo of the popular Bengali daily on her social media profile. In the latest promo, she is seen wearing a traditional Bengali saree and she paints her head red with vermillion. With a gun in her hand and vengeance on her mind, she comes out and aims to shoot Jagaddhatri. But while trying to save Jagaddhatri, Garima takes the bullet. It is evident from the promo that Rupsa’s character in the show is going to be quite a villainous one.

Rupsa is one of the most popular faces on Bengali television. She started her journey more than a decade back. Since then, Rupsa has worked in several popular Bengali TV shows like ‘Agnipariksha’, ‘Goyenda Ginni’, ‘Bhanumotir Khel’, ‘Phagun Bou’, ‘Tunte’. She also worked in 'Rudrabinar Abhishap' and 'Tansener Tanpura'. She will be seen in the film 'Binodini: Ekti Natir Upakhyan' with Rukmini Maitra. Directed by Ramkamal Mukherjee, Rupsa will play Kanaklata in the film.

Apart from her work updates, Rupsa shares quite a bit of her personal life on Instagram. The actress announced her wedding to her long-time boyfriend Sayandeep Sarkar via Instagram. She already had a legal marriage last year. She is all set to host her social wedding this year. The actress will have her wedding in December 2024. Rupsa has been in a relationship with Sayandeep for a long time. Their fans were waiting for their social marriage. The actress will marry on December 15. The reception will be on December 18.
