Bengali television has an interesting lineup for the audience. Right from family-drama, mythological show, rom-com to non-fiction shows, a variety of entertainment is in store. Adding one more to the list, Bengali TV will soon have a show starring actors
Gourab Chatterjee and
Solanki Roy in the lead roles. The upcoming show ‘Gatthchhora’ is likely to be directed by
Soumen Halder
. It will narrate a love story. The show will have an ensemble cast that includes
Shreema Bhattacharya
, Anindya Chatterjee, YouTuber Riyaz, and others.
Though, Gourab-Solanki will be seen as a reel pair on television first, the duo shared the screen in a recent film.
Both
Gourab
and Solanki are popular among the viewers. Gourab, who made his television debut opposite Sandipta Sen in hit show ‘Durga’, was last seen in ‘Mahapeeth Tarapeeth’. It was a brief appearance though. Prior to that, Gourab was busy with period-drama ‘Rani Rashmoni’. He played Mathuramohan’s character in the show and earned praises from the audience for his show.
Solanki, whose TV show ‘Ichche Nodee’ was quite a hit, was last seen in ‘Prothoma Kadambini’, essaying the titular role. The Honey Bafna starrer was based on the life of doctor Kadambini Ganguly. Prior to this, Solanki was seen in Leena Ganguly’s show ‘Phagun Bou’, which featured Oindrila Sen,
Vikram Chatterjee and Koushik Roy in the lead roles.
Besides this, ‘Khukumoni Home Delivery’, rom-com ‘Basanta Bilash’, mythological show ‘Jai Jagannath’ and a non-fiction show hosted by veteran actor Debshankar Haldar are going to launch soon.
