The artists, who had hoped for ‘good news’ regarding show’s fate, finally faced the camera for one last time yesterday (June 14). The show however will be aired for a few more days. It was an emotional moment for all the team members as the show is sending its journey within 5 months of its launch. For the past two weeks, Tolly Para was abuzz with discussion regarding the show’s end and the reason behind it. There were reports that the channel and production house are not on the same page regarding shifting ‘Meyebela’ to a new timeslot to accommodate a place for the new show ‘Sandhyatara’. While the channel reportedly wanted to run the daily soap, the production house was against it and rather decided to end it. Suddenly, ‘Meyebela’ was shifted to a new time slot. While Tolly insiders and fans were hopeful that both parties will reach an amicable solution, which will help the show run, the latest update left the cast and crew all disappointed. While the artists had guessed about the show’s end, they were officially intimated about the show’s conclusion recently. Since past month, Meyebela was in the news. First actress Roopa Ganguly left the show, citing the ‘regressive content’ shown in the daily soap. Then, makers roped in Anushree Das to play the role. A few members of the creative team, spoke against Roopa’s complaint and rather claimed she was well aware of the storyline since the beginning. A few members from the creative team also blamed the actress alleging that she ‘walked out’ of the show all of a sudden while the rest of the cast kept waiting for her on the shooting floor. Meanwhile, the show continued its journey and scored decently in terms of TRP. Then, two weeks back, when the channel decided to launch ‘Sandhyatara’ replacing ‘Meyebela’ from its usual slot, it created another round of ‘issues’. While the channel wanted to shift ‘Meyebela’ to a different time slot, the production house wanted a prime time slot. The initial round of discussion between the two parties, gave a ray of hope.
