Tanima, who is known for her acting chops, is thoroughly enjoying her new project. She said, “I love cooking. When Nandita and

Shiboprosad

approached me for the project, I was completely surprised. I had every reason to say yes. Moreover, the emotional touch in a non-fiction show appealed to me.”

The senior actress has already bonded with her Gopal aka Raktim.

The ever-smiling actress said, “You can’t help but fall in love with him. On the very first day the moment we met, he rushed and hugged me asking whether I will play his granny. I immediately bonded with him.”

Tanima is all praise for the little actor who wooed the audience playing

on TV screen. She added, “Raktim is very intelligent. You don’t need to explain to him anything twice. There was a particular scene where we were reciting Rabindranath Tagore’s Beer Purush. While reciting a certain line, Raktim changed the word Maa with Thammi. When I told him that the original poem reads Maa instead of Thammi, he hugged me and said you are mother to me. It is needless to say that I didn’t have to put much effort to give an emotional touch to the scene, it naturally made my eyes moist.”

Tanima added that Raktim keeps the shooting floor high on energy with his witty gestures. She also shared how Raktim gives her a special massage after a hectic shoot schedule.

'Rannabanna' will also feature guest chefs including male cooks who would love to show their culinary magic on-screen. She said, “A dedicated team is working hard to find out new recipes. I have already shot for a few episodes and cooked simple traditional Bengali dishes which my mom or grandmother used to cook. We will feature authentic Bengali recipes as well as other dishes. My kitchen is eagerly waiting for the guest cooks. I would love to welcome male cooks to showcase their culinary magic too.”

Talking about magic, Tanima shared about some real magic which takes place right after the shoot goes over. Talking about the same she added, “Raktim is a complete foodie. The moment shoot goes over, the food vanishes. A major portion of whatever I cook during the shoot, goes directly inside Raktim’s tummy rest of it is enjoyed by the other crew members.” She laughed while sharing.
