‘Tip Toe’ is the latest thriller series joining TV this year. The official release date for the TV series has now been confirmed, and fans cannot seem to wait for the arrival of the show.

‘Tip Toe’ release date confirmed

The upcoming five-part series has easily managed to become one of the most talked-about releases of the year for its themes, as well as its star-studded cast. As per Channel 4’s confirmation, it has been revealed that the upcoming series is all set to premiere by the end of this month itself! The official release date has been set for May 31.

What is the premise of ‘Tip Toe’

The thriller series follows Cumming’s and Morrissey’s characters as long-time neighbours in Manchester’s Canal Street. Cumming plays the role of Leo, the eccentric owner of a Canal Street bar called Spit and Polish, while Morrissey plays Clive, his next-door neighbour. Though the two have lived as neighbours for more than 15 years, problems, differences in opinions, and other issues have all become too much for the two to handle.
What starts as a simple feud embroils into something much darker and more violent. The cast list also includes names like Paul Rhys, Shakeel Kimotho, Iz Hesketh, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Charlie Condou, and Denise Welch.

Russell T. Davies talks about his latest thriller series ‘Tip Toe’

Talking to BBC Today, Davies, who has also worked on ‘It's A Sin’ and ‘Doctor Who,’ revealed that the show was coming from a ‘queer lens.’ However, he pointed out that the storyline and the issues that he is aiming to highlight in the series is not something that is just related to the ‘queer experience.’ He set out an example by recalling how a friend of his who uses a wheelchair was called out in public for being a liar, stating, “That actually is physically happening in the world. He further shared, “Being online is a brand new form of communication that we did not evolve to suit. We’re taking it so lightly and so much enjoying its benefits at the same time as we are actually sliding into hell.” He revealed that the show is far more ‘radical’ in its take on touching upon issues and that the channel was happy with his approach.

Where to watch ‘Tip Toe’?

The show will air on Channel 4’s TV channel starting from May 31. However, it will also be available on the channel’s own streaming platform online as well.
