"She has a really good heart, and yeah, it's tough because, you know, witnessing someone go through that kind of stuff, especially someone you're in a romantic relationship with, is really challenging," Grippo shared with Talk Money to Me author Tartick, aged 35. "It's really hard to watch. I hated that part of it all. It did bring us closer, and we were able to navigate a very tough time early on."
Fuller, known from Peter Weber's Bachelor season, and Grippo initially confirmed their relationship in November 2022 after almost three months of speculation about them dating. During that period, some viewers speculated that their relationship overlapped with Fuller's engagement to Johnny DePhillipo, whom she got engaged to on Bachelor in Paradise season 8. DePhillipo, aged 27, stated that he and Fuller ended their engagement in mid-September, while Fuller claimed they broke up three weeks after filming BiP ended in July.
Grippo commented on the scrutiny faced by women in the franchise, especially a select few, regardless of their actions. "I think the women in the franchise get attacked, especially just a select few of them, no matter what they do," Grippo mentioned regarding his Bachelor Nation colleagues. "And like, granted I think it goes for a lot of the people but especially I think for, you know, her, she can... anything she does gets scrutinized, I feel like."
