On the latest episode of The Kardashians, sister Kim Kardashian informs Khloé that she is returning to therapy, and that Khloé should "be on this journey with me."

The matter comes up again later, while Khloé is eating lunch with friend Malika Haqq, and the talk rapidly shifts to Khloé's (then) imminent 40th birthday.

"We do have to celebrate your birthday really big," Malika tells me. "Should we do an Eat Pray Love for your birthday?" she suggests, referring to Elizabeth Gilbert's soul-searching essay, which was adapted into a 2010 film starring Julia Roberts.
"No," Khloé quickly says, labelling the proposal a "disaster."

"It's indirect therapy," Malika insists. "It's like the kind of therapy you want to do."

"Do you think I need therapy?" Khloé asks.

"A hundred percent," Malika responds.

"You do?" Khloé responds, horrified, and tells Malika about her earlier talk with Kim.

"You should listen to your sister," Malika advises.

"I've done therapy," Khloé admits. "I've gone to like, three or four different therapists."

She claims she saw a therapist before having her second kid, son Tatum, via surrogate in August 2022. Tatum and her eight-year-old daughter True are her children with ex Tristan Thompson.

"I have never connected. I'm like, "I just told you my entire life story." Every dark satanic thing, and you'll just say, 'Okay.' "I never received any guidance."

"Then she's definitely not the person for you," Malika responds.

"So far, every therapist I've seen has done that," Khloé adds.

In her confessional, Khloé explains, "One therapist told me that I didn't need therapy because I process things so matter-of-factly. I do not know. It was an unusual experience.

She comments on how she handled her ex-husband Lamar Odom's cheating and drug scandal, saying, "My husband, I found him at a drug den in a motel and, like, I was saying something, but [my therapist asked], 'So do you get upset?'"

Khloé stated that because she was calm and not agitated, the therapist informed her, "I don't really think you need me."

"I was like, ‘What? "Is she firing me?" Khloé mused. "I think I got broken up with by a therapist."

However, as Malika pointed out, "You've been through several traumatic events and you need someone to help you find your way out." It's not like you need someone to teach you how to be Khloé. You need someone to tell you how to find your way out."

Khloé says in her confessional, "I'm certain I need therapy. I don't think I'm struggling, yet I say, 'I can't find my path. I need a therapist. I am like, 'Okay, yeah, I'll try therapy.'"

She admits that she needs to be more "adult social" and, as Malika proposes, "talk to different therapists for a little while."

"Who has time?" Khloe asks, and Malika responds, "Make the time."

The Kardashians airs new episodes every Thursday at 12 a.m. ET on Hulu.
