Fox studios is developing a new version of popular TV show "

" with a female lead.

The show's executive producers

Howard Gordon

and Brian Grazer will produce the new show along with

Jeremy Doner

, reported Deadline.

Doner and Gordon will also write the script for the new show.

Fox Television

had cancelled the second season of "24:Legacy" and were reported to have been exploring an anthology series built around the real-time storytelling format of the original.
