Savannah Chrisley, star of Chrisley Knows Best, shared an uplifting message with her followers on Instagram, more than 19 months after her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, began serving their prison sentences for tax evasion and fraud. In a heartfelt post on August 27, the 27-year-old reminded her fans that "it’s perfectly okay to not be okay" during difficult times. Savannah acknowledged the struggles she has faced since her parents' incarceration and encouraged others to embrace their own challenges.
"Life is inherently messy, and no one truly has it all figured out," Savannah wrote, captioning a photo of herself accompanied by Blessing Offor’s song “Brighter Days.” She urged her followers to remember that tough moments are temporary, and like a storm that eventually runs out of rain, their difficulties will also pass.
Savannah also emphasized the importance of self-kindness and seeking support from loved ones during trying times. "Focus on small, manageable steps to navigate your difficulties," she advised, adding that personal growth often comes from overcoming adversity. "Embrace the process of healing, knowing that brighter days are ahead!" she concluded, using the hashtags #hopeinthedark and #yourdayiscoming. Todd and Julie Chrisley began their sentences in January 2023, receiving 12 and 8 years, respectively.
Since then, Todd's sentence has been reduced by two years, and Julie's appeal was granted, with her sentence vacated due to insufficient evidence. She is set to be resentenced later this month. The couple, who were indicted in 2019 on multiple charges including tax evasion and fraud, have maintained their innocence throughout the legal proceedings.
