Tracee Ellis Ross is taking a trip down memory lane and is recalling his memories. On Saturday, the black-ish star, 51, shared images on Instagram from the 1991 Gap ad campaign she did with her mom, Diana Ross. The two resembled twins in the black-and-white images, taken by legendary photographer Herb Ritts. The mom-son duo both wore a simple white tank top and jeans in the campaign as they looked into the camera, their bodies intertwined.
Per the campaign caption that can be read in the first image and Tracee's Instagram caption, she was a 19-year-old student at the time, which confirms that Diana, 79, was about 47 at the time. The post read, "Some of my old stuff be floating around… Just saw this little blast from the past," Tracee captioned her post. "19 year old me with bushy eyebrows in this @gap ad from 1991 with my mom shot by the one and only @herbritts." "So gorgeous!" Tracee's friend Reese Witherspoon said.
Tracee spoke with InStyle in 2022 about what it was like being raised by a music icon. "My mom was extremely present," she shared it to the magazine.
"Waking us up for school, sitting for dinner with us and giving us a genuine, anchored, real family life and home life. The most important thing to my mother was not fame, it was her children." Tracee's father is music business manager Robert Ellis Silberstein, but while the music industry is in her blood, Tracee made a name for herself as an actor and a comedian.
