A migrant worker names her child after Sonu Sood; the actor gets a glimpse of the child on India’s Best Dancer
Popular show India’s Best Dancer is keeping the audience enthralled with its interesting content and high entertainment quotient. The top 10 contestants along with their choreographers are giving their best performances, who are reviewed by the judges –
One special act which stole everyone’s heart and made the judges, the hosts and Sonu Sood emotional was that of contestant Shweta Warrier, who hails from Kerala, with choreographer Bhavna. The two performed on the song ‘Tu Na Jaane Aas Paas Hai Khuda’ which depicted the story of a pregnant migrant worker who was stuck during the earlier months of the pandemic and decided to walk back to her hometown. A similar incident happened in real life, and that’s when Sonu Sood stepped up to help this pregnant woman. As the actor learnt about this incident, he helped her to get to her destination. Shweta and Bhavna’s performance made everyone emotional and Sonu Sood gave them a standing ovation.
A teary eyed Sonu revealed, “I have seen this situation in real life and the act was indeed beautifully portrayed. I have spoken to many pregnant women and women with children who are merely two-three days old, during these challenging times and the only thing they would ask me was if I can help them get back home. They have safely reached their homes and till date they send me photographs. It was an unreal experience. I believe that I am a different person now than I was three months back. I get thousands of messages, mails, and I try to reach out to as many people. I feel everyone should come forward and help in whatever way they can. It is very important, only then our nation can come out of this situation. This performance took me back to those times, I don’t want this situation to ever occur again. Thank you for your act.”
An emotional Geeta Ma said, “You have done a lot for people, I bless you and your family. So many people have reached home safely because of you. I would want to thank you on behalf of all those people. And thank you Shweta and Bhavna for showing us this beautiful act.” Furthermore, Malaika, who got emotional, thanked Sonu for his work, and said, “Sonu has worked selflessly and tirelessly to reach out to people in need just like the frontline workers, policemen and healthcare workers. I am happy and proud to say that I know Sonu Sood. Coming back to the act, I wasn’t expecting this kind of an amazing act. While Sonu saw these things happening live over the past four months, you explored these moments through your act, you have moved us and made us emotional. That is the power of dance. I feel so happy to see the girl power on the show.”
To Sonu Sood’s surprise, India’s Best Dancer team reached out to the woman from Bihar on whom the act was based. In the video call, the parents spoke about Sonu’s sweet gesture and even named their child after him. The child is called Sonu Chaudhary, and they gave a glimpse of the child on the video call. Sonu got emotional on seeing the child and speaking to his parents.
