Aamna Sharif on not commenting on her personal life: I don’t need to involve my family in my professional world
Aamna Sharif, who has been part of TV shows like Kahiin Toh Hoga and Hongey Judaa Na Hum, recently walked the ramp at Bombay Times Fashion Week. Ask her why she has been missing on the small screen post her stint on TV show Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 in 2020, and she replies, “I didn’t really disappear, I took a break for a while. I’m back with a bang now.”
The actress was happy to walk the ramp for BTFW and what made it more special was her husband Amit Kapoor and 10-year-old son Arain cheering for her. Talking about it, she says, “It’s the first time my son has seen me like this. He has never seen me on screen because I keep him away from it.”
Sometime ago, there was buzz about tension in her marriage, but Aamna refuses to comment on that. “I am a very private person. This is my professional world and I don’t need to involve my family in it. I’ve never believed in that. I’m a no-drama person and don’t need validation from anyone,” she says. Aamna started her journey in showbiz when she was just 15 and looking back, she says, “I’m evolving everyday, not only in what I do, but in every aspect of life. It has been such a beautiful journey and each day is a learning experience for me.”
On the work front, she’s clear about what she wants next. “Great content is what I’m looking for. I want to do more experimental and challenging roles, the medium doesn’t matter,” she signs off.
