Abdu Rozik opens up about the reports of his arrest at Dubai Airport; says 'I'm doing fine'
Bigg Boss 16 fame Abdu Rozik was recently in the news when reports of him getting arrested at Dubai International Airport on charges of theft went viral. He had flown to Dubai to attend an award ceremony on Saturday. However, the Tajikistani singer has now indirectly dismissed the reports and stated that he is doing fine.
In a video circulating on social media, the singer didn’t directly comment on the arrest rumors. He appeared at the red carpet of an awards event in Dubai and reassured everyone that he was absolutely fine.
Abdu, who was last seen in Laughter Chefs season 2, said, "I want to say to everyone, I love Dubai, and I am here with all of you. God is always with the right person. I am fine; everything is good. Lots of love and thank you so much for supporting me," he said.
Previously, Abdu’s team released an official statement to the Khaleej Times, where they stated, "First of all, he was not arrested—he was only detained by the police. Abdu Rozik provided an explanation and was released. He will be attending the award ceremony in Dubai today. Secondly, information in the media is not correct. We will take all legal action to protect Abdu Rozik and his image. Also, we will provide you with all the information later on to inform the Indian people. Believe us, we have a lot to say regarding this issue."
This isn’t the first time Rozik has been caught in controversy. Just last year, he was questioned by India’s Enforcement Directorate in relation to a money laundering investigation linked to a hospitality company.
On the work front, Abhu made his debut on Indian television with Bigg Boss 16 and became an overnight sensation. He was also seen in Khatron Ke Khiladi and Laughter Chefs season 2.
