Abhishek Sharrma credits audience love as Vasudha crosses 2.0 TRP milestone: says 'It's the biggest validation'

Vasudha has crossed the 2.0 TRP mark for the first time, and Abhishek Sharrma is currently on cloud nine. His portrayal of Devansh has struck a strong emotional chord with viewers, turning him into a household name and one of the most talked-about faces on television today.

Reacting to the big achievement, the actor chose gratitude over celebration. “As always, the first feeling is always gratitude more than celebration, and reaching the 2.0 mark crossing that barrier, which is something of a big achievement or a milestone for everyone associated with the show, for the channel, for everyone,” he shared.

Calling the moment special for the entire team, Abhishek added, “It is something which demands celebration. And yes, it's holding the top spot again. It is not something that happens overnight. This reflects the love of the audience and the hard work of every single person associated with the show.”

He further emphasised how meaningful the audience’s consistent support has been. “Personally, it felt special because when people consistently choose your show every day, it means the characters and emotion are connecting somewhere deeply with them. For all the actors, that's the biggest validation,” he said, adding that the long working hours and emotionally demanding scenes finally feel worth it when such news arrives.

“At the same time, it motivates and pushes us to work harder and not become complacent,” he noted.

Despite the success, Abhishek remains grounded and clear-headed about the unpredictable nature of television ratings. “I have seen many things in the industry. I have seen so many ups and downs. This industry teaches you very quickly that nothing is permanent, neither success nor setbacks,” he said.

Speaking about TRPs, he explained, “TRPs are important because they reflect audience response, but if you become emotionally dependent on numbers every week, it can affect your balance as an actor.”

The actor believes in focusing on craft over numbers. “So, I try to stay grounded by focusing on the process rather than the noise around it. My job is to honestly perform my character and keep improving every day. The moment you start chasing only numbers, you can lose the sincerity of your craft.”

Reflecting on his journey, he added, “Also, I come from a background where I have seen struggle closely. So achievements make me grateful, not overconfident. I believe in consistency, discipline and respect for the audience. That matters more for the audience and success should motivate you, not change you.”
