Poonam Pandey’s fake death news has left everyone furious. Yesterday, it was announced that Poonam Pandey had passed away of cervical cancer at the age of 32 but today the actress posted a video on social media announcing that ‘she is alive’. Now, the actress is getting slammed by several for faking her own death.
Actress Akanksha Juneja, who is currently seen playing the negative lead (Nidhi) in the show Kundali Bhagya, also lashed out at the actress and called Poonam Pandey’s death a ‘cheap publicity stunt.’
Akanksha says, “I can’t even understand this thing that how someone can spread such rumors. There are so many other ways to raise awareness among people regarding any issue, but her choice was so horrible. It looked like she wanted to gain publicity more than creating awareness. It was such a cheap publicity stunt. Faking her own death has destroyed her credibility and people won’t believe what she says next time in public. She should be punished for playing with the sentiments of many people out there.”

Karanvir Bohra has also shared his views on Poonam Pandey faking her own death to spread awareness on cervical cancer. The actor shared with ETimes TV, “She did spread awareness on cervical cancer, I’ll give her that… but at what cost, she didn’t even think what her well wishers would feel…”
Bigg Boss 17 fame Soniya Bansal stated, "she could have done a press meet to create awareness about what is cervical cancer, how to prevent from it," Bansal stated, highlighting the importance of disseminating accurate information rather than resorting to sensational tactics. Expressing concern about the emotional toll such stunts take on the industry, Bansal remarked that life is not a joke, and faking a death can lead to skepticism when real issues arise.
