’ as the grandmother of Pratibha Ranta who is playing the role of Dr Chahat Baig Dhyani in the show. She is a strong woman who lives in Dubai and comes down to India to meet her family. Its been four days that Mamta has been shooting with the team and she is happy that she got such a wonderful role to start her 2021 with.
After her show ‘Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’ ended in January last year she took some time to get involved into some other project. “After I wrapped up the show, the pandemic hit us and everything came to a standstill for the entertainment industry too. Keeping in mind my age too, it took me some time to mentally prepare myself to start working again in this kind of environment. Offers were coming in but I wanted to do something with a strong base and in ‘Qurbaan Hua’ I got it and thus said yes,” shares Mamta.
Over the years Mamta has been seen doing a variety of roles and she personally enjoys doing different roles which gives her space to exercise her acting skills. “I mostly get roles which are dominating and negative in nature. I have done positive roles too and there is nothing I call as my type of person or something I prefer doing. It is a new challenge every time and I thrive on it. But in real life I am a happy-go-lucky person who lives life to the fullest,” adds Mamta.
