Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has been much in the buzz and the latest news is that Rajan Shahi has ousted Shehzada Dhami and Pratiksha Honmukhe from the show. This left the viewers and the entire fraternity shocked. However, there's a new development from the sets of the show.
According to reports, actor Rohit Purohit could replace Shehzada Dhami. The 37-year-old actor has been in numerous series and is well-known for his acting abilities. Fans would recognize him from series such as Porus, Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji, Udaariyaan, and Dhadkan Zindagi Kii. He is married to the actress Sheena Bajaj. This will be his debut performance with Rajan Shahi.
Rajan Shahi's production house, Director's Kut Productions, has issued an official statement confirming that Shehzada Dhami and Pratiksha Honmukhe have been removed from the show. He ended their contract. While Shehzada Dhami was fired for his unprofessional behaviour with the team and tantrums, it appears Pratiksha Honmukhe's acting irritated the producers. They stated that producing a show is a collaborative effort in which everyone is expected to contribute completely honestly. The production house stated in an official statement that DKP believes no one is bigger than the show.
On the show, we saw Abhira (Samriddhi Shukla) become a heroine for the Poddar family by saving Kaveri (Anita Raaj) from disgrace in court. A major surprise appears to be in the works for the Holi holiday. So far, Shehzada Dhami and Pratiksha Honmukhe have not commented on their departure from the show.
