Actor Akshy Mishra has been roped in to play a prominent character in Kyunki Saas Maa Bahu Beti Hoti Hai, which features Manasi Joshi Roy and Navika Kotia. The actor is delighted to play a negative role.

Akshy on his role

He said, "I'm delighted to play a negative role. The story in the show has a lot of suspense for the audience, which will unfold with time. I'm playing a leader of small gang and people are afraid of me. I'm fondly known as Babu Bhaiya in the show. But no one knows that I too have a boss, who is yet to enter. And I can't disclose everything as of now. I'm in search for Kesar, the protagonist (Navika Kotia)."

Akshy finds the role challenging. "I'm happy that I'm playing a challenging role. As an actor I was always looking for something so promising to play. I feel for my look and mannerism, my role is inspired by Telugu superstar, Allu Arjun from his film 2021 superhit movie, Pushpa: The Rise," he added.

Akshy, known for his acting in television shows like Shabana Azmi-starrer Amma, Shaadi Ke Siyaape and the second season of 24 mentioned that he doesn't want to get categorised to any platform.

He continued, "As an actor I enjoy exploring acting for every medium. I acted in television daily soaps, web series, films. I don't find myself categorised. I enjoy acting and look for the roles that are interesting, layered and have a strong significance in the story."

Akshy previously informed BT about taking break from TV. He said, "I wasn’t getting interesting and compelling offers on television. Acting is my passion. While I enjoyed my time shooting for other mediums, I yearned to get back to television with an interesting role. It’s nice to see that the dynamics of TV are also changing, which aligns with my artistic aspirations. I hope I don’t take a break from television anymore.”
