All about Saath Nibhana Saathiya's Gia Manek aka Gopi Bahu's partner Varunn Jain: From on-screen brother-in-law to real-life husband
Television actors Gia Manek and Varunn Jain surprised their fans by announcing their wedding on August 21. The couple shared the happy news via Instagram, posting beautiful pictures from their special day. The newlyweds kept the ceremony simple and private, without any grand celebration.
Gia, who rose to fame with Saath Nibhana Saathiya and later appeared in Jeannie Aur Juju, is a well-known face on Indian television. Varunn Jain, is also a known actor who has worked in several shows. The actor made his acting debut in 2010 with Kaali – Ek Agnipariksha. However, his big breakthrough came with Diya Aur Baati Hum, where he played Mohit Rathi. He later went on to appear in shows like Pehredaar Piya Ki, Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya, and more.
In 2021, Varunn joined Gia in the show Tera Mera Saath Rahe. In the show he played the role of Gopika’s brother-in-law, stepping in after Rajkumar Singh. Reportedly, it was during this show that Gia and Varunn grew close, where their friendship slowly turned into love.
The couple held the wedding at the Isha Foundation in Tamil Nadu. They chose a Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha, a traditional yogic marriage ritual that focuses on purifying the five natural elements—earth, water, fire, air, and space. According to the foundation, this ritual allows the couple to connect at a deeper, elemental level.
Sharing her joy on Instagram, Gia wrote, “With the grace of Divine and Masters and with all the love showered, we’ve stepped into this forever union — hand in hand, heart to heart. We were two friends, today we’re husband and wife. So grateful for the love, blessings and wishes from all our loved ones who made this day so special. Cheers to a lifetime of laughter, adventure, memories, and togetherness as Mr. & Mrs.”
Interestingly, Gia and Varunn chose to disable the comment section on their wedding post to keep the moment private despite the public announcement.
