Amid divorce rumours, Dalljiet Kaur drops a cryptic note with her video wearing sindoor and jewellery; deletes the caption later
Dalljiet Kaur's marriage to Kenya-based businessman Nikhil Patel has made headlines in recent months due to relationship issues. The actress first kept her troubles private, but reports circulated that her marriage deteriorated once she returned to India with their son Jaydon.
Dalljiet recently uploaded a strange post on social media with an emotional yet powerful remark, but she quickly removed it.
Dalljiet Kaur took to Instagram to share a video of herself dressed elegantly in a red anarkali, accompanied with an emotional statement. She captioned the image, "Sindoor and choodha sirf ek gehna nahi, maayke ki umeed aur swabhiman hota hai. (Sindoor and bangles are more than just jewelry; they symbolize the hope and pride of one's family home)."
In the video, the Bigg Boss 13 contestant was seen showing off her sindoor. The actress removed the caption within a few minutes after sharing the video. She later modified the caption to include two emojis.
Rumours about their split began in February of this year, when Dalljiet deleted all of her wedding images from Instagram and ceased using his husband's surname.
Dalljiet's recent social media statements about her spouse fueled the allegations, implying that Nikhil is not respecting their marriage and may be conducting extramarital affairs.
Nikhil chose to break his silence and recently answered Dalljiet's charges about their split. In an exclusive conversation with ETimes TV, Nikhil shared, "In January this year, Dalljiet decided to leave Kenya with her son Jaydon and return to India, which ultimately led to our separation. We both realised that the foundation of our blended family wasn't as strong as we had hoped, making it hard for Dalljiet to settle in Kenya. In March 2023, we held an Indian wedding ceremony in Mumbai. Though it held cultural significance, it was not legally binding. This ceremony was intended to reassure Dalljiet’s family about her move to Kenya. Despite our efforts, Dalljiet found it challenging to adjust to life in Kenya, missing her career and life in India. The complexities of our family dynamics became increasingly apparent."
