Ankita Lokhande, Nia Sharma and others get trolled for making reels during Ganpati puja; see post
The auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi is here and people from across the country are celebrating it. Celebrities have yet again not failed to keep fans posted with their celebrations and give fans a glimpse into it. The Ganpati celebrations are going on and the celebrities are enjoying it as well. However, TV actors Nia Sharma, Ankita Lokhande, Arjun Bijlani’s wife Neha Swami, and several other television stars found themselves in the middle of trouble when they shared a reel of their celebration on social media.
Their latest post from the celebration has gone viral, showing them chanting “Ganpati Bappa Morya” and clapping. However, the video also sparked criticism as the actors are seen with their backs facing the idol, something that didn’t sit well with many netizens. Fans wondered why the actors were not facing the idol while doing the aarti and instead making a reel.
Many users were quick to react in the comments. One wrote, “Lagta hai ab bhakti se zyada reels important ho gayi hain, mandir ho ya ghar bas content banana chahiye!” Another said, “Bhagwan ke saamne mann lagana chahiye, phone screen mein nahi, ab toh sab kuch sirf viral hone tak seemit ho gaya hai.”
Many netizens reacted sharply to the viral clip. One user remarked, “Aajkal 90% log sirf dikhawa karne aur apna mazaa lene ke liye tyohaar manate hain. Dharam koi bhi ho, samudaay koi bhi ho, yeh aadat galat hai. Aise log paap karte hain aur phir mushkil samay aane par Bhagwan ko dosh dete hain. Behtar hai ki saatvik aur sadachari banein aur iss nirlajj harkat ko band karein.” Another comment read, “Ye pooja nahin balki uska tamasha bana diya gaya hai. Mobile par reel banane ki aadat ne logon ki soch ko khokhla kar diya hai. Ab chahe mandir ho, pooja ho ya shok sabha, har jagah bas reel banane ka junoon chhaya rehta hai.”
The actors have not reacted to the comments yet. Several popular celebs like Ankita Lokhande, Bharti Singh, Arjun Bijlani and others bring Bappa home every year for Ganpati celebrations.
