Anupamaa actress Shiwani Chakraborty on her latest tattoo: I got a pink lotus, as a lotus symbolizes purity
Shiwani Chakraborty, who is currently seen in Anupamaa, recently got her fifth tattoo done. Her newest ink is that of a lotus, and she sought advice from her astrologer before getting it done.
She said, "This is my fifth tattoo. I think before inking your body, you should know the meaning of the tattoo. I got a pink lotus, as lotus symbolizes purity. It’s a very pious flower and my favorite. First I was planning something else, but I asked my astrologer of 17 years, as she has always guided me, even with my tattoos. According to my astrologer, stars are also good for me on my body, so I already have a star, so I included a sun and moon for balance."
"She said the lotus matches my planets and stars. The placement of the tattoo on the body is also very important, so she chose the lotus for me. She said it will bring balance, abundance, and prosperity, and it will also help my acting career. So I thought, why not the lotus? Also, lotus is very important in my life right now because it is the symbol of my skincare brand.. I can also connect it with the stamp on my back," she added.
She stressed that each tattoo is a symbol of strength, mostly because it’s a painful thing. She said, "It kind of reflects strength itself, and I have also learned something from getting tattoos. You have to be a constant and balanced person. You should be loyal to your work and clear in your decisions. If your mind keeps changing, it becomes difficult."
"A tattoo teaches you to be firm and very clear. Whatever you decide, you should do it with a clear mind. That is what it teaches," she added.
She mentioned that her tattoo carries a very important life lesson too. "Like a lotus blooms in the mud, even though we have a lot of negativity around us, so we have to become the lotus, keep blooming, keep growing, and keep shining. Stay positive even in the most difficult scenarios," Shiwani ended.
