‘Anupamaa’January 13 written update: Prarthana and Ansh choose Anupama as Parag breaks ties with the Shah family
Drama continues as rifts between the Kothari and Shah families get deeper. The episode starts with Parag apologizing to his daughter and telling her that he was never a good enough father. As Anupama understands his tactics and calls it emotional blackmail, Prarthana reassures her that she will visit their house often and come around to meet them. Parag, however, disagrees and says that it would not be healthy for her and she would not be happy with the situation.
Baa and Bapuji intervene, promising that Prarthana will be happy and will be well taken care of in their home. Anil also quips and says that Prarthana’s place is beside her husband, which further causes everyone to disagree. Raja also calls out the Kothari family for their behaviour, asking about how they cannot support people who love one another.
He then draws a line using a cloth, announcing that the Shahs and Kotharis are no longer on good terms. He also adds that whoever supports Anupama will also be cut off from the Kothari family.
The episode ends with the Shah family getting emotional as Anupama welcomes Prarthana and Ansh. As she is about to take her first steps into the house, she stumbles and almost falls over, causing everyone to panic. Anupama, however, saves her and holds her as she gets her balance back.
Baa scolds Ansh for not being careful with Prarthana, though she apologizes that she was the one who was not looking. Anupama reassures her that everything is fine and continues with the greh pravesh ceremony.
Debate around Prarthana’s baby continues
Parag later suggests that Prarthana should stay at the Kothari mansion until she delivers the baby, though the suggestion is met with reluctance. The family disagrees with his decision, and Anil even calls out Motiba for backing out on a promise that she had made.Baa and Bapuji intervene, promising that Prarthana will be happy and will be well taken care of in their home. Anil also quips and says that Prarthana’s place is beside her husband, which further causes everyone to disagree. Motiba forces Prarthana to stay at the Kothari mansion
As the chaos continues, Rahi asks her mother to let Prarthana stay at the mansion until the baby is delivered. Prarthana, on the other hand, refuses to do so, which prompts Motiba to force her to stay at the Kothari mansion. Anupama goes to save her; however, during the altercation, Motiba falls. Seeing this, Parag grows livid and confronts Anupama for her behaviour.He then draws a line using a cloth, announcing that the Shahs and Kotharis are no longer on good terms. Parag forces everyone to choose between him and Anupama
Parag forces both family members to choose sides. Raja and Prarthana stand by Anupama’s side throughout the entire drama. Prem and Rahi are the last ones left to choose. Prem seeks his father’s blessing; however, he crosses over to stand by Anupama and the Shahs. Rahi is left standing alone, confused about what she should do. Anupama sees all of this and urges both Rahi and Prem to choose Parag and stand by his side.Baa scolds Ansh for not being careful with Prarthana, though she apologizes that she was the one who was not looking.
