‘Anupamaa’ January 16 written update: Anupama leaves for Mumbai after news of chawl demolition comes in

The latest episode of the hit Hindi series begins with the family concerned about Prarathana’s well-being following her accident. Pari, Ishani, and Raja attempt to console Ansh, who is on the verge of breaking down.

The debate goes around Parag’s decision

The scene changes and shows Rahi and Prem arguing about the matter. While Prem stands by Anupama’s side, Rahi argues that it was her mother’s carelessness that caused the accident.

The Kotharis reach their home and see Parag in a disgruntled state, throwing water on himself. Motiba seems worried about his state, while Gautam calls him out for taking Prarathana’s side. He says that Parag should have forced his daughter to stay at the Kothari mansion after the accident.




Parag disagrees, and says that the only thing that he is worried about right now is his daughter’s well-being. He also warns Gautam about his actions and tells him that he should not do anything to cause Prarthana any more stress. He also asks Motiba and Khyati to take care of Prarthana and pray for her good health.

Rajni calls Parag to tell him about the demolition of the Purvichaya chawl.

Anupama finds out about the demolition

On the other hand, Anupama also finally gets to know about the chawl’s demolition and redevelopment plans through Jassi. Anupama says that the builders cannot threaten them and asks them not to do anything until she talks to Rajni. The builders, however, say that they can do what they want as they have received a valid and signed NOC.

Anupama leaves for Mumbai

Anupama tells the Shahs that she has to leave for Mumbai because of the demolition. Baa tells her not to, and adds that Prarthana and her promise to Parag is more important. Anupama convinces them and says that she will be back in a day after dealing with everything.

The preview for the next episode shows Anupama stopping a bulldozer from demolishing the chawl as Rahi and Prem arrive as well. Anupama then gets shocked when she sees Parag and Rajni also arriving at the chawl together.
