‘Anupamaa’ January 9 written update: Motiba creates a scene at the godbharai

January 9’s episode picks up with Anupama and Pakhi’s conversation. Anupama keeps trying to convince her daughter and make her understand who Diwakar really is. Pakhi breaks down and says that she’s lonely and she wants her mother to understand why she is doing this. Pakhi shares that she also wants someone by her side, like everyone else. Anupama tells her to wait a little and give their relationship more time before jumping into marriage, admitting that she, too, understands what her daughter is going through.

Motiba almost leaves the Kothari mansion

As the preparations for the godbharai ceremony are in full swing, Motiba is seen preparing to leave the Kothari mansion, as she does not wish to see Anupama. Prarthana stops her and tells her that Anupama and her family are not welcome into the home; they will not visit. However, she also quips about how Motiba is creating a lot of unnecessary drama surrounding her ceremony.




This prompts Parag to ask his mother to take care of Anupama and her family in this situation. Prarthana expresses that she does not want her in-laws to be disrespected in any way; however, she wants her godbharai to happen at the Kothari house only.

As Anupama and her family are preparing to leave for the godbharai, Ansh gets some advice from her regarding an important decision. He thanks her and tells her that he will explain everything later on. Diwakar comes to Rahi when she is prepping to leave and tells her that he still loves her. However, Prem steps in between in time and reassures her that nothing will ever happen to her.

Motiba creates a scene at the godbharai

Anupama and her family are seen celebrating at the godbharai event at the Kothari household. Anupama also suggests that, in light of recent events, they should have a joint ceremony for both Prarthana and Ansh. As the event moves on, Motiba suddenly insists that Gautam should sit in the ceremony instead of Ansh, calling him the real father and creating a scene.

The next episode’s preview plays, showing how Guatam is almost about to sit as Motiba tells him to, however, Anupama intervenes, and he ends up falling.
