Anupamaa, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 continue to rule the TRP charts; Bigg Boss 19 misses top 10 spot
The Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) has released its TRP ratings for Week 41, and this week’s chart has brought both surprises and reshuffles in the top positions. While Anupamaa and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 have successfully retained their top two slots, several popular shows witnessed a dip in rankings, making way for new entries and shifting dynamics in television viewership.
Rupali Ganguly’s long-running family drama Anupamaa continued to rule the charts, holding on to its No. 1 position with a 2.3 TRP rating. The show’s emotional storyline and consistent twists have managed to keep viewers hooked, making it yet again the most-watched TV show of the week.
Right behind it, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 grabbed the second spot with an impressive 2.2 TRP rating. The show has been in the headlines recently, thanks to Sakshi Tanwar’s guest appearance and a surprising cameo by Bill Gates. The audience seems to be thoroughly enjoying this nostalgic reboot, which continues to blend tradition and modernity.
Meanwhile, Udne Ki Aasha climbed up the ladder this week to secure the third position, surpassing Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Starring Kanwar Dhillon and Neha Harsora, the show recorded a 2.1 rating, indicating growing viewer interest in its heartwarming storyline.
On the other hand, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, one of television’s longest-running shows, slipped down from its earlier position. However, it still maintained a steady TRP of 1.9, showcasing its loyal fan base despite the drop in ranking.
Coming next, Tum Se Tum Tak featuring Sharad Kelkar and Niharika Chouksey stood at sixth position with a TRP of 1.6. Though it witnessed a slight decline in numbers, the show remains a strong performer in the mid-tier category.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, which has been a household favourite for years, also faced a dip. The sitcom secured the seventh position this week with a 1.6 rating, a slight fall from its previous 1.7 rating, which had placed it in sixth position last week.
The Hindi remake of the Marathi show Paru, titled Vasudha, landed in the eighth spot, recording a 1.5 rating. The show’s emotional depth continues to resonate with audiences, even as it slipped one spot from last week’s ranking.
Deepika Singh’s Mangal Lakshmi managed to climb one place higher this week, reaching the ninth position with a 1.5 TRP rating, while Ganga Maai Ki Betiyaan rounded off the Top 10 list. Despite falling in position, the show saw an improvement in its TRP, also recording a 1.5 rating.
Meanwhile, Bigg Boss 19 witnessed an improvement in its television ratings but still couldn’t make it to the Top 10. Similarly, Pati Patni Aur Panga also failed to enter the list this week.
