Archana Puran Singh’s son Aaryamann recalls how he cried while watching dad Parmeet’s DDLJ; says, “Dad got beaten up by Shah Rukh Khan”
Archana Puran Singh, who’s loved for her comedy as well as acting skills, keeps fans entertained with her YouTube vlogs. While she has taken a break from YouTube for a while now, she appears in her son Aaryamann’s vlogs constantly. In a recent vlog, she discussed her husband Parmeet Sethi’s Bollywood movie Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Son Aaryamann recalled how he cried while watching the movie.
Archana said, “DDLJ was one of Dadi’s favourite movies. She was so excited as her son Bittu was going to be a part of it with Shah Rukh Khan.” Reacting to this, Aaryamann said, “I watched the movie when I was very young and I cried a lot. How can you watch your father getting beaten up by someone?”
Archana then asked, “You must have not liked SRK then?” And he said, “Yes, when dad came home, I told him how can he beat him up. Like look at his size and look at SRK’s size. I cried a lot seeing dad getting beaten up in the movie.” This left everyone in laughter.
Fans found the moment both hilarious and adorable. Many said Aaryamann’s innocent reaction as a child was “too cute to handle,” while others joked that it’s every kid’s instinct to defend their parents on screen. Some users also called it a “full circle Bollywood moment,” seeing how deeply films can emotionally connect with viewers—even children. A few fans even praised Archana for sharing such candid and relatable family moments through her vlogs.
Archana often shares about her personal as well as professional life in her YouTube vlogs. In one of the vlogs, she shared how Parmeet and she balance their marriage. She said, “Real love is not loud. Real love is found in the small things you do for each other. When you go to sleep at night, I become completely silent. I love staying awake at night, and I wake up late. You sleep early and wake up early. So there’s this beautiful balancing act between us. When you go to bed early, I tiptoe around. I don’t make a sound. I use headphones, whatever I do. I stay awake for two or two-and-a-half hours. Similarly, in the morning, when I’m still asleep, you remain completely quiet. You never disturb me. These are the things that tell me you care. That’s why, in the morning, you don’t make any noise.”
