Arti Singh to Aalisha Panwar: These TV celebs are living alone during lockdown and share how they are managing things by themselves

Living alone has its own pros and cons. But living alone in the lockdown has been taking a toll on many. With no househelp or a person to talk to, it can be quite stressful. We spoke to many TV celebs during the lockdown in exclusive live chats and they have shared how they are managing things by themselves. Has living alone been a boon or bane? Let’s find out here. (By: Sukarna Mondal)

Arti Singh

Speaking about living all alone in Mumbai, Arti said, “I came out of lockdown (Bigg Boss 13) and got into another lockdown. My mother is in Lucknow, brother Krushna and his family are in different society and I am all by myself. I have been cooking, cleaning and doing all household chores by myself. I get very tired.” She also shared how at times she gets mentally exhausted. Her good friends Karan Singh Grover and Bipasha Basu keep her motivated. She transfers her energy towards her workout session.

Aalisha Panwar

“The most important thing I have learnt during the lockdown is that I have lot of patience. I am managing quite well. I have learnt cooking. You don’t have the habit of cooking everyday. When you are all alone, sometimes you do feel lonely. In the initial few days it was very hard to pull off. You are not used to stay alone inside at home for so long. As actors, we stay 12-13 hours on the sets. I was taking 8 hours of sleep first 2-3 days. But then it became suffocating and hard to digest. I couldn’t bear it. I wanted to step out. I tried to shift focus to my hobbies. This has really helped me a lot. Now my hobbies have become a habit. I love reading novels, dancing and I also do yoga. Sometimes I pamper myself, sometimes I am busy with household chores. It is just going on. It is quite difficult when you are on your own”

Helly Shah

“I am staying alone and it is going normal for me. Thankfully I have a househelp with me and she is always around. There are days when I feel a little low and don’t have energy to do anything. But I think that’s normal to feel like this during this time as you can’t get out and talk to someone physically. Other than that, it is quite normal for me.”

Randeep Raii

Yeh Unn Dino Ki Baat Hai fame Randeep shared how he is spending the lockdown, “I have taken up my hobbies. I am playing games, watching movies, TV, working out and reading. I do get bored. Only my situation is not like this, the entire nation is facing this. I do miss my family during the lockdown and I will visit them as soon as I get an opportunity.”

Donal Bisht

Donal Bisht is also living alone and she wanted to fly down to her hometown as well after flights resumed operations. But it was her parents who advised her against it. The actress shared, “I wanted to go but my parents told me not to come because they didn’t want me to risk my life. They said, ‘You are alive that’s more important to us’. You don’t know when the symptoms show. So they just want me to be safe.”

Raj Singh Arora

Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’s Raj Singh Arora is also living alone and he writes down each day as a diary note on his social media. He also shares his daily routine. In one of the notes he wrote, “I am doing fine, I like this routine and I LOVE absolutely LOVE living alone on my own & I have learned how to #Cook #Food on my own in these 50 days :)) will see you all tmrw as always same time same place #Home #stayhome #staysafe.” (From: Instagram)
