Salim Ghouse passed away today (April 28) at the age of 70. Born in Chennai, he is a known Indian film, television and theatre actor, theatre director, and martial artist.
He has been a part of several films across all languages, TV shows and also as a dubbing artist.

, X Zone and Samvidhaan. He is popularly known for playing Rama, Krishna, Tipu Sultan in Shyam Benegal's TV Series Bharat Ek Khoj. He has also worked in TV serial Wagle Ki Duniya. He became quite popular due to the TV series Subah.
He also had dubbed for the role of Scar in the Hindi version of 1995 The Lion King.
He has done films like Koyla, Shapath, Aks, Well Done Abba, Saaransh and Swarg Narak to name a few. Salim Ghouse has also been a part of English films like He Deceivers and The Perfect Murder.
In 1993, he did a villain role in
Mani Ratnam's film, Thiruda Thiruda.
