The first week of February 2021 began with mind-blowing news as ace comedian Kapil Sharma announced the birth of his second baby early in the morning. Besides this, the past week was full of some extensive interesting stories from the end of Naagin 5 to the beginning of a series based on vampires, a few gripping revelations by the celebrities and some more exciting news revolving around the ongoing Bigg Boss 14. Comedian and The Kapil Sharma Show’s host Kapil and his wife Ginni became parents for the second time. The couple welcomed a baby boy on February 1. Kapil took to his Twitter handle and announced the good news, informing about the good health of Ginni and the baby in a Tweet. The TV fraternity congratulated the couple and showered them with good wishes and blessings on social media.

One of the Bigg Boss 14 episodes had witnessed Rakhi Sawant pulling co-contestant Abhinav Shukla’s pant’s strings, which became an issue inside the BB house in the later episodes. Host Salman Khan was seen supporting and defending this act of Rakhi Sawant in the Weekend Ka Vaar episode and instead bashed Abhinav and wife Rubina for ‘overreacting’ to it. This infuriated not only the audience but also some of the celebrities who have been following the show ardently. Celebs like Rahul Mahajan, Ekta Kaul, Gautam Hegde and many others slammed the host for his view and called him a ‘biased host’. They also came out in support of Abhinav and roared the message of ‘Stay strong Abhinav’ through all their social media posts.

Popular supernatural fantasy drama Naagin 5 starring Surbhi Chandna, Sharad Malhotra and Mohit Sehgal in the lead roles is going off air with its last episode which will be aired on February 6. The whole cast and crew had a wrap up party on the last day of shoot and all the lead actors expressed their dismay as the show came to an end, in their social media posts.

The show will be replaced by Ekta Kapoor's supernatural thriller based on vampires starring Harsh Rajput and Krishna Mukherjee in the lead roles.

Bigg Boss 10 fame Swami Om breathed his last breath on February 3. The self proclaimed Godman who gained fame after his stint in the reality show had tested COVID-19 positive three months ago and had been undergoing treatment for his deteriorating health since the past few months. As per reports, his condition deteriorated a few days ago and was paralysed, post which he passed away.

Bigg Boss 3 winner Vindu Dara Singh recently confirmed his entry in Bigg Boss 14 as Rakhi Sawant’s connection during the family week. Sources close to the show informed ETimes TV a few days ago that Vindu will be going inside the house to support Rakhi. He is apparently in quarantine and is expected to enter Bigg Boss 14 house by next week. Eijaz is also expected to return to the show by next week. Later the actor himself confirmed his entry in a Tweet, further asking fans for any queries before he enters the house.

Bigg Boss 14’s Vikas Gupta got evicted from Bigg Boss 14 in the previous Weekend Ka Vaar episode. The television writer-producer refused to use his joker card and saved Devoleena Bhattacharjee who is playing in place of Eijaz Khan in the show, before walking out. Vikas hugged everyone and wished good luck and gave piece of advice to everyone.

Bigg Boss 14’s Rakhi Sawant broke down in one of the recent episodes and revealed the truth about her husband and his first marriage. The actress cried out and told Rahul Vaidya that her husband Ritesh was already married before she married him and also had a child from that marriage. Rakhi disclosed that she came to know about the marriage only after she had tied the knot with him. During her emotional breakdown, Rakhi also talked about one of her friends who had made advances on pretext of giving money for her mom's operation; later threw her on the road.

Bigg Boss 14 is all set for its family week wherein the contestant’s friends or family members would enter the show to support them. Some of the sources close to the show have informed ETimes TV that Paras Chhabra will be entering the show as Devoleena Bhattacharjee’s connection. The reports suggest that Paras has flown down to Mumbai from Chandigarh and will be undergoing COVID -19 test soon. He will be going inside the house with the other connections in Sunday’s episode (January 7).

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s Nattu kaka aka actor Ghanshyam Nayak resumed shoot for the show on December 10 post recovering from a serious illness. However, he was trolled soon after he shot for the first episode. The actor was trolled for looking weak and remarked for hiding his illness. Ghanshyam Nayak responded to all the trolling in his interview with BT and said, “Some people are insensitive towards senior actors. I want to urge people not to spread such negativity. If I was not looking the part, my producer would not have cast me. I read somewhere that people also commented on my dressing sense. Those who don’t have any work spread such negativity. I am not affected by it, because I am happy that even at my age, I am working and would like to continue going to the sets as long as my body permits.”
